Programs

Entering Grades 1-6 in September
Campers will participate in a variety of activities geared to their age level including swimming, boating, theater, music, arts and crafts, horseback riding, tennis, and more. We encourage campers to try activities that they may not have had an opportunity to experience before.
We emphasize:
Making friends
Learning sportsmanship and teamwork
Developing swimming, sports, and arts skills
Caring for personal belongings and their environment
Giborim (Heroes)
Entering Grades 7-9 in September
Participants take part in all of our traditional Camp Ben Frankel programs but activities are geared to challenge their maturing minds and bodies. The special activities planned for this group will ensure a fun but safe program, incorporating watercraft, teams and ropes courses, rock climbing and camp crafts.
Counselors-In-Training (C.I.T.’s)
Entering Grade 10 in September
The program is especially geared to developing camp leadership. Special training sessions dealing with child care and child development, staff teamwork and creativity, Jewish identity and values, and personal responsibility are an important part of the program.

The CIT’s begin the camp experience with a multi-day hike/ campout backpacking experience. During the session, CIT’s will have special outings, such as a pool party or movie night in Carbondale or Herrin.
